God is taking us on a tour to show us the one thing we’re all ultimately looking for—above and behind all our hopes and dreams and fears, the thing that haunts all our other imaginations—the one thing we were created for and our hearts incessantly long for. Do you know what it is? Are you ready to find it? God is ready to show it!
Before we come to the baby in a manger, we must see the Lord sitting upon his throne in all his glory and holiness. But the only way for us to come before the Lord is by the baby in a manger.

After enduring the anxiety of death and all the chaos of hell, Jesus rose as the King of kings, the crowned Prince of heaven who was victorious over all his enemies. And the first words this champion king spoke to his fearful disciples was “Peace be with you.”
Isaiah prophesied Jesus would be called Immanuel. I wonder if Isaiah knew what God meant. Jesus is truly, physically God with us.
